Automated Provisioning: Subscribe and Go
Getting started with Capuzzella is now as simple as completing a checkout. When you subscribe, a dedicated Capuzzella instance is created for you automatically on Render — no server setup, no configuration files, no command line. Within moments you receive your personal URL and can start building your website right away.
The entire provisioning pipeline is powered by Stripe webhooks. As soon as your payment is confirmed, Capuzzella calls the Render API, spins up a new service with your unique environment, and redirects you to a success page with a direct link to your fresh instance. It's hands-off by design: you focus on your content, we handle the infrastructure.
Guided Onboarding: From Zero to First Edit
A new instance is only useful if you know what to do with it. That's why every fresh Capuzzella account now opens with a dedicated Instructions page that walks you through the essentials: logging in, opening the Editor Panel, making your first AI-assisted edit, and publishing the result. No external docs to hunt down — everything you need is right inside your instance.
The onboarding also guides you through entering your AI API key. Capuzzella uses your own OpenAI or Anthropic key for all AI-powered editing, so you stay in full control of usage and costs. Simply paste your key into the Settings page and you're ready to chat with the editor.
Bring Your Own AI Key
Capuzzella deliberately doesn't bundle AI costs into the subscription. Instead, you connect your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key. This means you choose the provider and model that fits your workflow, you see exactly what you spend on AI, and you're never locked into a single vendor.
Configuring your provider takes seconds. Head to Settings → AI Providers, select OpenAI or Anthropic, paste your key, and save. The key is encrypted at rest and never leaves your instance.
Encrypted Settings: Your Keys Stay Safe
With API keys, email credentials, and other sensitive values now managed through the UI, security had to be airtight. Every secret you enter on the Settings page is AES-256-GCM encrypted before it touches the database. Keys are derived from a per-instance secret, so even if someone accessed the raw database file, the values would be unreadable.
This also means you no longer need to set environment variables for things like your Resend API key or AI provider credentials. Configure everything from the browser, and Capuzzella handles the rest.
Transactional Emails via Resend
Capuzzella now supports transactional emails through Resend. User invitations, contact form submissions, and other system emails are sent reliably through your own Resend account. Like the AI key, your Resend API key is configured in the Settings page and stored encrypted.
Custom Domain Support
Your Capuzzella instance starts with a Render subdomain, but you'll probably want your own. The new Custom Domain section in Settings lets you add a domain, see the required DNS records at a glance, and verify the configuration — all without leaving the admin panel. Once DNS propagates, your site is live on your own domain with automatic HTTPS.
